40 Days of Action Fundraiser

On July 27, the U.S. Senate took a step in the right direction, when it voted in favor of a comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship.

Now, the U.S. House of Representatives is considering their own version of an immigration bill. But, conservatives won't let it go to a vote.

As a response, organizations all over the U.S. are staging a campaign of 40 Days of Prayer and Action during the House's August recess, to let our representatives in Congress know that the people are in favor of common sense immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship. We want conservatives to stop blocking the vote and get with the program.

On Wednesday, July 31 Action NC, together with the Charlotte NAACP kicked off the month with a press conference to announce the campaign and let conservatives know WE ARE WATCHING YOU AND YOU ARE ON NOTICE. SUPPORT IMMIGRATION REFORM OR YOU ARE FIRED.

But, we need your help to make this month the success we all know it will be. Please make a small contribution, in order to make Comprehensive Immigration Reform a reality THIS YEAR.

This month we plan on organizing the fight for immigration reform, by staging civil disobedience events, mass actions, participating in vigils, confronting our congress people at town hall meetings, as well as other activities. We would also like to take community members to Washington DC on September 12, to welcome our House representatives when they return from the August recess.

Your generous donation will make all this great work happen. Together we can make immigration reform a reality THIS YEAR!
